Southfield High School Alum develops branding for new high school June 10, 2016 - Southfield, Michigan
To create the logo, mascot and branding of the new Southfield High School for the Arts & Technology, the school district chose a Southfield High alum, Todd Pearl.
With the district closing one of their two High Schools and combining them both, the challenge was to respect the legacies of both schools while approaching the process of creating their new brand. Using the colors from each school, Blue for SHS and RED for Southfield Lathrup, I designed a traditional collegiate-style brand that the students, faculty and community can be proud of for years to come.
“It has been an absolute honor, joy and privilege to be chosen to develop the new brand and identity for Southfield A&T,” said Pearl. “I couldn’t ask for a better “life comes full circle” experience.”
National Coney Island Concession at Ford Field August 13, 2015 - Ford Field, Detroit, MI
With less than 8 days to get the job done, I designed the wall space for the new NCI concession on the Suite Level of the home of the Detroit Lions. The concession area features classic 'Detroit' cuisine. Please take a look at the video and the photos. You'll notice where I also custom illustrated a football playing coney island dog. Thank youGreat Wallfor a great installation. Go Lions!

National Coney Island hires artist, Todd Pearl, to develop, design and illustrate the unofficial story of the Hot Dog.
October 14, 2013 - Canton, MI
Come on down to Canton, have a couple coney's and see my madness... I mean, genius. National Coney Island, est. 1965, popular restaurant chain here in the greater Detroit area, with 19, now 20 locations... hired me to develop, design and illustrate the interior wall graphics for their new signature Canton, MI. location. Working with the owner/president, Tom Giftos and his wife Patricia, we took the unofficial story of the "hot dog" and created this wonderful visual spectacle, highlighting "Frank Facts" about the hot dog and also the history NCI for the last 50 years. With the recent refresh of their brand, using their original "Mr. Pop" character, I was able to bring him more to life with a rough drawn depiction of he eating a hot dog and other. While entertaining it also promoted the classic dishes that the chain has offered over the years. Come on in, enjoy a couple of coney dogs while you take in the madness... I mean creativity, of the Todd Man.

Premier Academy in Oakland Township commissions Todd Pearl for it's new main lobby art. July 2014 - Oakland Township I was commissioned to create an illustrated version of the Lord's prayer for the Premier Academy. A pre-school catering to children 6 months to school age. This Lobby Art is the first thing you see when you enter the main lobby of the school. The art was meant to engage the very young children with the traditional Lord's prayer. The piece was created digitally and printed on canvas, adding protection to the lobby art with an acrylic stand-off. The teachers and students couldn't be happier.
Popular Ann Arbor eatery hires Todd Pearl to refresh their brand. October 1, 2013 - Ann Arbor
The Jerusalem Garden, Ann Arbor's oldest Middle Eastern eatery hired my services to refresh their brand. I created a strong clean contemporary logo used in all aspects from staff shirt embrodiery to package/label design for their food that they sell retail. I also convinced the owner to have me design and illustrate a camel character for a t-shirt design to be sold retail and to give a personality to this favorite restaurant in the community.
Quinsigamond Community College New Mascot The Wyvern takes Center Court
JUNE 15, 2010_Worcester, MA
- The QCC gymnasium received a makover recently, when its
basketball court was repainted with the new College mascot - the wyvern.
Designed by Todd
Pearl. A professional
artist took about a week to paint the endlines and the center court.
Along with the new brand taking center
court, the design and production of our new school mascot for games and
other events made it's debut. QCC continues in its
rebranding efforts across a number of mediums within the College. All
brochures, booklets, and catalogs now carry the new logo. Giveaways, and athletic and casual apparel
include the new Wyvern image. The Marketing and Communications
Department has made a concerted effort to ensure the new logo and Wyvern
mascot are fixtures on all publications and casual items. The effort
can be seen on roadside billboards and advertisements placed in
Worcester and South County media as well.
Radio has selected artist Todd Pearl as the winner of
2010 Michigan Radio T-shirt Design contest. Pearl, a professional
illustrator/designer and Detroit native (now living in Clawson,) created
a nine-cell image depicting various images that represent the essence
of Michigan Radio. Themes of press briefings, the environment, the auto
industry, food, and satellite connectivity make up some of the images.
The design is featured on the
stations official 2010 T Shirt
available as a thank you gift for pledges of $120 or greater.
